Opportunities for technological talent flourish in Alicante

    This year the influence of the Comunitat Valenciana Digital District has continued to increase, with the city of Alicante as its headquarters. More than seventy-two multinationals, SMEs, and national and international start-ups make up the District, and are driving technological innovation, complying with the Generalitat’s growth plan to accelerate the economic model and place Alicante on the map as an international technology hub.   The increase of technology in the area has led to benchmark events in the world of technology being held, international investment, the digitalisation of companies, and above all, an increase in the number of new jobs in Alicante.   From day one, Teralco Group has focused on talent as a key asset for the organization. We work closely with the main universities in our field of action, including the University of Alicante, and the Miguel Hernández de Elche University, by organizing events, conducting training courses, and offering professional internships.   Another of our initiatives to support young talent is Talent campus, a course developed by DevCenter, our center that specialises in leading technologies; in collaboration with Accenture. The objective of the Talent Campus was to train the best technological talent to start a professional career oriented to our projects in cutting-edge technologies.   This program began on April 24, and was aimed at recent graduates of professional training courses, and university students of computer science degrees or similar. Teralco CRM successfully implements Salesforce for the Raminatrans Group

Today, a CRM is an indispensable tool for any company, that’s why 91% of North American companies with 10 or more employees already have CRM systems, and 50% of sales teams reported that they improved their productivity with a CRM software. Companies who do not install a CRM in their sales team lag behind their competitors. And so as not to fall to this fate, the Raminatrans Group, a multinational specialized in international transport and consulting services for foreign trade, has relied on Teralco CRM.   In Teralco CRM we integrate the world leader in CRM, Salesforce, and adapt it to the needs of each company. To consolidate the digital transformation of the Raminatrans Group, our specialists Javier Sempere and Darío Fuentes have developed a customized implementation of Salesforce Sales Cloud with which the company will work worldwide. We have thus fulfilled the companies objective of abstracting the complexity of budgeting logistics services, granting independence to their commercial network, and improving efficiency and scalability to obtain the best results.     To put this project in motion, last Tuesday, July 2 in Valencia and Wednesday, July 3 in Madrid, the Raminatrans Group held training sessions, in which they presented the new CRM to its main future users: salespeople, heads of department and heads of delegations.   They were joined by Teralco CRM, who attended the event to support internal teams on adapting to this change effectively, and providing them with subsequent autonomy in the management of the tool. To do so,  Ana Gilabert, director of the CRM area of ​​Teralco Group,  provided training on the key functionalities of the platform.      The technical training that the Group’s internal IT team received, is the start of a new way of working for the entity. THE CITY COUNCIL OF ALICANTE LAUNCHES IT’S OPEN GOVERNMENT PANEL

At a global level, data and information, especially that held by public administrations, must be available to all citizens, as stipulated in the Spanish Transparency Law (Ley de Transparencia de acceso a la Información Pública y Buen Gobierno 19/2013).   At Teralco Group we create innovative technological solutions to promote the accessibility and transparency of organizations. Our data experts work to discover the data universe of public and private companies transforming them with intelligent technology.   To facilitate transparency and access to public information, we have developed the Open Data portal. This platform aims to publish public information in an open and reusable way, so that both citizens and companies have access to it for consultation.   Alicante City Council is part of the Spanish Smart Cities Network (RECI) who’s objective is to exchange and design Smart City projects with other State Councils and with different social entities; leding to the launch of Alicante’s Open Government Panel last week.   Alicante City Council has trusted our solution, and has incorporated our Open Data portal in their Open Government platform. This allows the organisation to make a series of data and public information easily accessible to the public and for their use, collaborating in the new culture of recycling of information.   This portal will facilitate the City Council’s commitment to strengthening its transparency, with the publication of public information on: the Municipal Council, citizen participation, economic-financial information, hiring and costs of public services, agreements and subsidies, as well as information on matters of urbanism, public works and the environment.   How does Open Data benefit citizens?   The Open Data portal provides greater transparency to the Public Administration, generating more trust in the institutions, and improving the quality of information.   With access to the Open Data portal, citizens can search and navigate easily to find different types of data. The interface is intuitive and easy to use, allowing users to be self-sufficient.   The information is classified and grouped offering the option to filter data, download it in different formats, or preview it ss a chart, a graph and even as a “Map” if there are fields in the datasets that correspond to longitude and latitude.     Free and Complete Electronic Administration platform   In addition to our Open Data portal; 17 years of experience in the digital transformation of Public Administrations, has allowed Teralco Group to develop and perfect the Electronic Administration product, Gexflow, in which the Open Data portal is currently integrated. Technology in the real estate sector

The real estate sector has undergone a complete digital transformation, so much so that the go-to place for information on the sector is the internet. 98% of potential buyers start their search online, where they can find all the information they need. The days when real estate agents were the guardians of information and an indispensable part of buying and selling, are over.   The way to make a difference in this new era is technological development, which allows companies to increase business efficiency and offer high quality customer service. The expectations of consumers have skyrocketed and to succeed you have to be flexible, understand complex situations, and know your customers in detail.   Understanding what factors engage a buyer when they visit your website or real estate portal is essential, to be able to offer a personalised experience. That’s why this year Cajamar has focused on the real estate sector for their annual University Hack.   Cajamar University Hack 2019 is the largest data analytics competition in Spain. It consists of a Datathon in which 630 students from 21 Spanish universities will compete to predict if a real estate offer will be successful. As in previous years, Teralco Group are sponsors of the event, and we are proud to contribute to a national contest that promotes data science in Spain.   This year one of the challenges is the “Minsait real estate modelling”. For this challenge, participants must obtain a predictive model to establish the reasons why a real estate web page is more visited than others. As the internet is the main source of information for citizens, understanding the number of visits and the time a user spends on a web page is one of the key factors for the management of digital assets. For this challenge, Cajamar has the support of Idealista and Haya Real Estate as Data Partners.     The participants will have to estimate the duration of visits received on a specific web page, for each property for sale. They must also establish what factors make a real estate portal more popular than others.   The objective is to develop a predictive model using Machine Learning techniques. To do so the participants will be provided with historical data on housing and other real estate assets, throughout the Spanish territory. Students will analyse property data such as location, size, price, description, images, and information about user experience on the website.   An added value is to gain a clear and concise predictive model that can be reproduced in the real estate sector at the end of the challenge.
